Are you an experienced, compassionate, and driven leader with a proven track record in children's residential care? We are seeking a Registered Manager to lead our new children's home and create a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where young people can truly flourish. About the Role As the Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and safeguarding. You will shape the culture of the home, lead and motivate a dedicated team, and ensure Ofsted excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong, inspiring leadership to the staff team, fostering a positive and supportive culture
  • Oversee all aspects of the home's operation, ensuring full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and all safeguarding requirements
  • Prepare the home for Ofsted inspections and maintain a high-performing, child-focused environment
  • Develop, implement, and monitor care plans tailored to individual children's needs
  • Lead on recruitment, staff development, and performance management
  • Manage budgets, resources, and administrative systems effectively
  • Ensure the emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs of children are met through trauma-informed practice

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing or running a children's residential home
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience opening and registering new children's homes with Ofsted
  • In-depth knowledge of Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice
  • In-depth knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Full UK driver's licence
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations and support children with emotional and behavioural challenges
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children, staff, external agencies, and stakeholders
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in staff management, supervision, and team development
